Buyers can bid for lots by post or e-mail, but any bids received after 6pm UK time [GMT] on the day of the auction will not be accepted under any circumstances. It is recommended that bids are sent well in advance of the auction date. We will not be responsible for any lost or delayed bids. Please remember that both post and e-mail are not totally reliable, so if you have not received an e-mail confirming that your bids have been recorded it is advisable that you check with the auctioneer prior to the auction date. A bidform is available, which can be printed out and posted [see below].
A buyer's commission of 10% [+ VAT, if applicable] will be payable on all lots purchased. ARR 4% - artists resale rights, may also be payable on lots by living artists of 1,000 euros or more.
Condition reports can be provided on request, but these only represent our opinion on what we can see, we cannot examine framed lots out of their frames.
Bidding will normally be allowed as soon as the catalogue appears on the website, which will be at least 30 days before the day of the auction. The 'High-Bid' [in GB pounds sterling] will be updated at regular intervals, but the accuracy of this must not be relied upon, due to bids received at the last minute. It is advisable that you leave your maximum bid well in advance of the auction date. Bidding increments are as follows [GB£]: 0-50 £2 50-100 £5 100-500 £10 500-1000 £50 1000+ £100 10000+ £500
Bids received which are not in accordance with the above increments will be rounded down to the correct amount. All lots purchased must be paid for promptly, including all packing, shipping and delivery costs and no lots will be shipped until all payments have fully cleared. Shipping will be charged at actual cost plus a small charge for packing. We may not be able to provide accurate shipping estimates prior to the auction day. Lots not collected 30 days after the auction has ended will be subject to a storage charge of £1 per day per lot.
